Iryna Soloshenko presented the projects "Main Clinical Military Hospital" and "Mobile Evacuation" at the REBUILD UKRAINE: HEALTH & REHABILITATION EXPO XXI 2024 in Warsaw

The war in Ukraine affects all spheres of society, particularly the medical infrastructure. 194 medical facilities have been completely destroyed, and 1,474 have been damaged. The number of people receiving injuries and amputations due to the war is rapidly increasing.

Such events create a platform for communities, rehabilitation and medical centers, medical equipment manufacturers, engineers, builders, donors, financial institutions, and investors to exchange ideas, project concepts, contacts, and connections to address urgent needs in Ukraine's medical sector and support rebuilding as quickly as possible.

Goal 3 of Sustainable Development emphasizes good health and well-being. This is precisely what Iryna Soloshenko's projects aim to address:

  • "Main Clinical Military Hospital" (MCMH) - the creation of an inclusive, convenient, comfortable, modern, and mobile emergency department at the Main Clinical Military Hospital in Kyiv, ensuring that wounded soldiers receive proper treatment conditions.

  • "Mobile Evacuation" - the only feasible systematic method for the comfortable and rapid evacuation of the wounded.

KOLO team at REBUILD UKRAINE: HEALTH & REHABILITATION EXPO XXI 2024 in Warsaw

The KOLO Charitable Foundation team, including Olena Kryvenko, Mariya Kotvitska, and Daria Fysun, also participated in the exhibition. Meetings were held with medical equipment manufacturers, companies offering innovative solutions, and donors. Active fundraising for these projects is currently underway.

KOLO team is currently raising funds to cover the preparation of a full package of project documentation for the construction of a modern emergency reception department at the Main Clinical Military Hospital. The project is being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Defense and the Medical Armed Forces of Ukraine. You can support the project with a donation via this link.

"Mobile Evacuation" now includes 70 cars for lightly and severely wounded patients. Some of them already require major repairs. In the future, Ukrainian Railways, the Medical Armed Forces of Ukraine, and KOLO will work on creating new ones, as the need for evacuation does not decrease. You can support the project with a donation via this link.

We are grateful to the exhibition organizers for providing an opportunity to speak to the world about our work and seek support from the international community. Together, we can implement more projects for Ukraine.

We also want to thank our colleagues and potential partner organizations who presented their projects at the exhibition. It is an honor to work together in future.
