The “Medical Descent” project has received the Responsibility Awards 2023
Responsibility for the Foundation is to act where the state system, considering the situation in the country, cannot currently be effective. It involves partially taking on these challenges and, thanks to greater flexibility, innovation, and boldness, creating models and solutions that can later be implemented at the level of the healthcare system. This is precisely what the Foundation's Mobile Medicine program and the “Medical Descent” project are about.
“Medical Descent” project by the KOLO Foundation is a mobile medical service for the de-occupied territories of Ukraine. Within the framework of the project, as of the end of 2023, 11 medical missions have already been carried out, providing 5000 patient consultations to those who cannot visit medical facilities near their place of residence, as they were destroyed by the aggressor country, Russia, and cannot travel to safe areas. By the way, this project is the only one in Ukraine in terms of the duration of medical missions.
In 2023, out of 168 Ukrainian initiatives, the "Medical Descent" project under the leadership of Volodymyr Nechyporuk entered the Shortlist of 4 nominees for the Bogdan Havrylyshyn Foundation Award in the category of National Partnership Project 2023 (with the support of partners: OLX Ukraine, Patients of Ukraine, Aga-Ukraine, BF "Feel" Tata Kepler).
