How a Club Became a Major Charitable Foundation Saving Lives During the Full-Scale Invasion

The publication of The Ukrainians highlights the history and activities of the KOLO Charitable Foundation, which has been supporting Ukraine through medical, educational, and cultural projects since 2013. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, the foundation swiftly adapted its efforts to meet new challenges, focusing on aid for the military, medical institutions, and humanitarian relief.

Among KOLO’s key initiatives are large-scale projects such as Medical Decent, which provided medical assistance in de-occupied communities, Mobile Evacuation, which transported wounded individuals using specialized train cars, and the restoration of critically important medical infrastructure. In 2024, the foundation launched the Renovate strategy, aimed at systematically revitalizing healthcare, science, and cultural sectors.

KOLO Charity Foundation continues to actively seek donor support and foster partnerships both in Ukraine and internationally. Read more about the foundation’s work in The Ukrainians article, “The Circle of Volunteering”, following the link https://theukrainians.org/fond-kolo/
